EMBEDDED BASED ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE SYSTEM CAUSED BY MOBILE PHONES

AIM:
To avoid the accidents that are caused due to the mobile phones and alcohol consumption.

WORKING:

The significant rise in use of mobile phone leads to increase in road accidents due to use of mobile phones while driving. The principal cause of automobile accidents across the globe are due to mobile phone use while driving. Many automobile drivers suffer from road traffic injuries every day due to this. This paper proposes an embedded based automobile accident avoidance system. The proposed system connects a Bluetooth module and a speed sensor to a microcontroller which senses the speed and gives it to an AVR microcontroller kit. This kit is paired to a mobile phone via a Bluetooth module such that whenever an incoming call is initiated, the application in the mobile phone checks the speed of the automobile and only if the speed is at the zero mph, the call can be accepted or the application does not allow the call to be attended. The idea is implemented in mobile phones. This kit is also interfaced with a helmet with an alcohol sensor. If the alcohol sensor senses alcohol content above a certain threshold value , the automobile engine does not start. Thus this system efficiently eliminates accidents of automobile caused by mobile phone usage and drinking while driving.

This circuit is designed using proteus.Here we use AVR microcontroller, but you can use as per your wish.
